blessed, in a huge way

I can't even explain how blessed I am right now.

I joined QiQi's SWI Yahoo Group on Monday and met an extraordinary lady who is in very close connection with a sponsored charity that runs a school within the SWI. She soon found out that QiQi was not attending school and made sure the director was sent a request that she be allowed to attend school. Well she agreed with the request, praise the Lord! The extraordinary lady was also telling me that this way they can get regular updates and pictures of QiQi. My heart is bursting with thankfulness.

So QiQi now attends school on the weekdays!

I got en email yesterday saying she did well in school on her first day and that she is going to be spoiled rotten! Oh my! Today I got this incredible picture. Truly, it made my heart feel full. The lady holding QiQi just got back to the school from maternity leave - I think QiQi is going to be very well looked after.

There are 10 older children that attend the school, I know this is so meant to be and pray it will help her for the moment when she gets a big sister.

Can you believe she's wearing the leopard print coat under this top coat? Wow. No wonder she's got healthy pink cheeks! She is such a beautiful girl, my heart is overflowing with love and joy right now.

  1. She looks so big in the arms of her auntie... but it is likely her many layers! She is so cute and I hope you get a lot of information throughout your wait to go get her.

  2. I love how "puffy" she looks in all her layers - you can tell they are taking good care of her and want her to stay warm and healthy. What a blessing to have been able to make this connection and receive these pictures!

  3. Oh Jill! I know how it must make your heart soar to see her looking so healthy and cared for AND to be able to look forward to more updates and photos. And to think of how she's being prepared to join your family and have a big Sis! I know you anxious you must be to get that sweet baby in your arms and kiss those positively smoochable cheeks of hers!

  7. Congratulations! She looks happy and like she's got some sweet baby chubs to squeeze. We are right behind you in bringing home our second daughter from China. Our first daughter, Liliah came home in January 2009. I am living vicariously through you and rejoicing with the Lord's goodness to your family. Love her sweet name too!

  8. JIll, I must have "missed" that you have a separate blog for Phebe....I'm now your newest follower!

She looks so adorable......and so healthy! Such a joy...

I re-read your list of "Phebe traits" and get the impression that this little girl was destined to be a "Meaklim" :)

Can't wait to hear when you expect to travel, exciting is not a strong enough word!

  9. Jill,
I am so happy for you... This reminds me so much of my wait for Emme Jade! We were blessed by an angel in Yangzhou that updated us often on her... I knew with out a doubt that she was being loved!!!! This is truly an answer to your prayers!!!!
What do you think your timing will be to bring her home?

    Another beautiful girl for you!

    Hugs,
    Diana

  10. This is so wonderful! How incredible that she is now attending school!

I too was blessed to meet some extraordinary people on Ren's orphanage yahoo group after we got his referral. Every piece of info and new photograph I was able to obtain during the wait made it so much more bearable and more importantly, gave me comfort that he was being treated well.

    So thrilled for you, Jill!

  11. She is beyond precious..... How wonderful that she is so well cared for and even going to school. I know how hard it is to wait a half a world away, but knowing that she is in such good hands has to make your heart happy.

Wishing you all the best Jill..... so anxious to follow your journey to this beautiful little girl.

    xoxo,

    Lisa
