patience is a virtue

Today, we've been waiting 50 days for our Letter Seeking Confirmation.
Believe it or not, it's hard. Waiting for your daughter - who lives and plays - half way around the world.
But then again, I've experienced first hand how wonderful the outcome is.

Have Faith.

  3. Wishing for your to receive that letter that invites you to board a plane to China! Although we are waiting for the referral of our daughter, I KNOW it was much harder once we saw Liliah to wait 4 months to go get her. Once you see her sweet face, she is REAL and you can't imagine missing another day with her and for her to not be with her family. Hoping that May will be a very memorable month for you all.

  4. Waiting is terrible... only people who have been there really get it. Hugs and strength to you. N

  5. It is an awful time waiting for it, and even with the best intentions to not allow it to invade my daily thoughts, it did. It is such a relief to finally receive it in the mail and to know China has officially allowed the adoption proceedings to move forward. I hope that you will receive it soon. Is your agency able to check and see if it your file is still in translation, or if it has moved into the processing phase?

    1. Our coordinator was visiting the CCCWA last week and physically saw our files in Dept 1!! However, some rules have changed and they're requesting that all families send in three new reference letters, even those that are in the middle of the process, so we are in the middle of doing them right now.

      Never a dull moment!! :)
